Supporting Local Business. Strengthening Our Community

The Alexandra & District Traders and Tourism Association (ADTTA) brings together local businesses, community organisations, and tourism operators to grow a vibrant local economy across the Murrindindi region.

We’re proud to represent Alexandra as a welcoming, thriving destination for both residents and visitors.

Below are a few campaigns and initiatives you may be interested in learning more about.

Christmas Bonanza

Running for nearly 20 years, the Christmas Bonanza has been a vital initiative supporting local traders
during the critical pre-Christmas period. Its primary goal is to encourage locals to shop within the region,
helping businesses compete with larger retail hubs such as Healesville and Seymour, as well as the growing influence of online shopping.

The Christmas Bonanza aims to:

1. Boost local spending before Christmas: With 5,000 vouchers distributed and an average spend of $25 per transaction, the initiative generated approximately $125,000 in local expenditure in December 2024.
2. Encourage post-Christmas spending: Prizes awarded through the Bonanza are redeemable at ADTTA member businesses, extending the spending momentum into the new year.
3. Promote ADTTA members: The initiative shines a spotlight on current members and their offerings, reinforcing the value of being part of the Association.

Annual Impact Report

The Alexandra and District Traders and Tourism Association has published an Annual Impact Report for 2024/2025, which brings together the highlights of our activities into a single document.

This report provides a snapshot of the work we have undertaken over the past financial year to support local traders and strengthen local tourism.

In reading it, we hope you gain a clear sense of both the breadth and depth of our efforts to assist businesses and organisations across our community every day.
